In Nanaimo for December there were 420 active listings (1% more than the same month last year) of single family freehold homes and 266 (8% less than the same month last year) in Parksville/Qualicum.

Although the number of sales in Nanaimo is down 6% for the year prices have not dropped as much as we are still only $11,765 (3.2%) lower than the peak of 2008 when it was £365,173.
