Nanaimo home sales were increased 30% in November 2015 when compared with November 2014. The average sale price increased 6%. The median house price was $360,000.
Parksville/Qualicum home sales increased 15% in November 2015 when compared with November 2014. The average sale price increased 3%. The median house price was $399,000.
Synopsis
In Nanaimo for November 2015 there were 312 active listings of single family freehold homes and 212 in Parksville/Qualicum.
The graphs below are for Nanaimo and show the average sold numbers and average sold price since January 2012.
The following graph shows the % difference of the housing price index (HPI) from the same month 12 months ago. It is split into the different sub-areas and is for single family homes.
There is still a continuing shortage of homes for sale which we have been seeing for a large part of the year. This has meant that there are still buyers out there waiting for their next home to be listed. Therefore if you are thinking of listing, or you know anyone who is, please give me a call and I would be more than happy to discuss the current market.
